Yggdrasil has unveiled its latest slot game, Lucky Neko Gigablox, featuring the innovative Gigablox mechanic. Set in a traditional Japanese aesthetic, the slot boasts a 6×4 grid with 40 paylines. The reel sizes transform with each spin, creating gigablox that range from 2×2 to 4×4.
Free spins are triggered by landing five or more Lucky Cat symbols, with each symbol awarding one free spin. During the free spin round, the orientation of the game grid shifts to portrait mode, expanding to a 6×8 layout and increasing the number of paylines to 85. Additionally, each new appearance of the Lucky Cat symbol grants an extra free spin.
Before the bonus round begins, a random symbol is selected. All payouts involving this chosen symbol receive a 5x multiplier for the duration of the bonus game. In the free spins mode, a 6×6 gigablox can also appear.
Gigablox marks the third new mechanic introduced by Yggdrasil in its slot games, following the earlier releases of Splitz and MultiMax in the MultiFly slot.
Jonas Strandman, Yggdrasil's senior product strategy development specialist, commented, "We are committed to driving innovation in the gaming industry and can’t wait to see how players around the world embrace the Gigablox mechanic."
