Last week, a lucky player from Las Vegas hit the jackpot at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino, winning $12,185,766 (approximately 1.14 billion rubles) on the Megabucks Spitfire Multipliers Triple Red Hot 7s slot machine. The identity of the winner remains unknown, and there is no information on how they plan to spend their newfound fortune.
This marks the fourth time in 2023 that a Megabucks machine has paid out over $1 million (93.4 million rubles). The recent win is the second-largest Megabucks jackpot in Nevada this year and, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the third million-dollar jackpot in the Las Vegas Valley.
October has also seen other significant wins. On Thursday, Las Vegas resident Charmaine Maier won $91,069 (8.5 million rubles) by correctly guessing 34 numbers in a bingo game at the Rampart Casino, located within the JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa.
This week, racing veteran Kristi George-Barnett won $1,184,000 (110.6 million rubles) while visiting Caesars Palace in Las Vegas with her husband, Sherman Barnett. The 63-year-old placed a mere $25 (2,335 rubles) bet on a slot machine and couldn't contain her excitement, exclaiming, "It's a million dollars! A million dollars! Oh my God!"
On October 13, an unnamed visitor at the Santa Fe Station hotel-casino won over $101,000 (9.44 million rubles) on the Dancing Drums slot machine. Just a few days earlier, on October 9, a player named Jesse won $355,857 (33.2 million rubles) at the South Point Hotel Casino & Spa on the Lightning Buffalo Link machine.
Another substantial win occurred at the Beau Rivage resort casino in Biloxi, Mississippi, where a woman from Arkansas hit the jackpot on the Bao Zhu Zhao Fu Red Festival slot, totaling nearly $105,700 (9.88 million rubles).
Meanwhile, regulators in the Netherlands have reported an increase in gambling market revenues for 2022.
