The iGaming industry in Ontario set record results in October 2025, achieving its highest figures since the launch of the regulated market in 2022. According to data from the regulator, the total betting volume on licensed sites exceeded $6.5 billion (₽526.1 billion), indicating continued robust growth and maturity of the iGaming market in the province.
Approximately 1.3 million active accounts were registered in October, marking a new record for Canada. Operators also reported a sharp increase in revenue, reaching $261.5 million (₽21.17 billion).
Online casinos remain the primary driver of revenue growth, accounting for 85% of the total betting volume. The dominance of this segment underscores a consistent trend in local audience preferences.
According to the regulator's report, the total betting volume on slots, table games, and live dealer broadcasts amounted to $5.6 billion (₽453.3 billion), with revenue from these segments reaching $213.3 million (₽17.27 billion).
The financial results for sportsbooks showed growth, bolstered by a busy calendar that included the Toronto Blue Jays' participation in the World Series, as well as the start of the NHL and NBA seasons. Sports betting volume in October 2025 reached $853.5 million (₽69.09 billion), with operator revenue at $41.3 million (₽3.34 billion).
Poker maintained a modest market share, with a turnover of $93.2 million (₽7.54 billion) and a profit of $4 million (₽323.8 million). A recent decision by the Ontario Court of Appeal to join international player pools is expected to invigorate this segment in the future.
In October, the local market featured 50 operators of online casinos and sportsbooks. Following the recent exit of several companies, this number has decreased to 48. Analysts anticipate that operator consolidation, a large player base, and a well-developed casino industry will contribute to the growth of the iGaming sector in the region.
It is worth noting that the iGaming industry in Ontario achieved record revenues in May 2025.
