A new Wildfire casino is set to open in early February in the eastern district of Fremont. This establishment marks the latest addition to Station Casinos, a gaming giant that has been in operation since 1976 and now boasts a total of 17 casinos. Currently, the company employs around 1,200 people and generates annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
The Wildfire brand already includes seven casinos operated by Station Casinos. Typically, a Wildfire casino features a gaming area with 150 slot machines, a restaurant, and various entertainment and hospitality amenities. However, the new Fremont location will offer an expanded selection, with 200 slot machines, a full-service STN sportsbook, 16 televisions surrounding the bar, an IHOP, and a Mexican restaurant called Tacos El Pastor.
The new Wildfire will cover approximately 21,000 square feet. Station Casinos has already completed the necessary demolition of old buildings to make way for its construction. To facilitate this, the company sold its Castaways property, which it had owned since 2004, to developers. This sale provided the financial resources needed to finalize the new casino, located at 2700 Fremont Street.
Joel Hampe, General Manager and Vice President of Wildfire Gaming, commented on the development: "The brand had not been active for a while, so we decided to refresh its design and give our customers something nice." In December, Station Casinos plans to hire around 45 full-time or part-time employees for the Wildfire casino, ensuring it is fully prepared to welcome guests immediately upon its opening in early February 2023.
