Buzz Bingo has launched a major overhaul of its bingo halls across the UK
The revamped Sheffield Parkway club has already reopened following its renovation, featuring a refreshed main hall design, new lounge areas, a bar, and artistic elements from local creators. The space is equipped with modern digital screens and audiovisual systems, with an interior designed to attract a younger audience. Since its relaunch, foot traffic has surged by 200% compared to the previous week and by 131% year-on-year.
Buzz Bingo continues to develop its omnichannel model, with plans to renovate gaming clubs in Leeds, Stockport, and other cities in the coming months. Concurrently, the company is rolling out digital membership cards and plans to install over 10,000 electronic terminals and new self-service kiosks. Buzz Bingo aims to blend traditional formats with digital innovations, striving to offer players a more personalized and contemporary experience.
In the 2023 financial year, the operator reported a 31% increase in online revenue, with EBITDA rising by 14%. Total revenue reached £207 million ($263 million). In addition to modernization efforts, the company is expanding its network of gaming establishments, recently acquiring two Merkur Bingo clubs in Northampton and Cricklewood.
Buzz Bingo CEO Dominic Mansour stated that the initiative is focused on adapting the bingo format for a new generation. Furthermore, the upgrades will transform gaming clubs into modern venues with high service standards.
It is worth noting that the Rank Group is set to increase the number of gaming machines following reforms to gambling laws in the UK.
