Every second American has a positive view of gambling
More than half of those surveyed (57%) believe that gaming establishments contribute positively to the local economy, and over 70% see the emergence of casinos as a significant benefit, particularly in terms of job creation.
"The American public's favorability toward gambling has never been higher. As the industry evolves, more citizens are engaging in gaming activities," said Bill Miller, President and CEO of the American Gaming Association.
Previously, AGA research indicated that 9 out of 10 Americans consider gambling to be one of the primary forms of entertainment. Last year, the American casino market reached a record high of $75.4 billion.
