Evolution Gaming has undergone a rebranding ahead of its merger with leading global online slot developer NetEnt, a deal valued at £1.6 billion.
The Stockholm-based provider will now officially be known simply as Evolution. In a statement, the company explained that the rebranding decision was made to "more accurately represent the company's activities." The update will take immediate effect across all of Evolution's digital platforms, as well as in official communications, statements, and documents.
Additionally, the Swedish company noted that the new name reflects its diverse operational focus, as the brand not only offers gaming products but also develops software, placing a strong emphasis on technological innovation.
The board of directors will propose changing the legal name of the company at the annual general meeting of shareholders scheduled for April 16, 2021.
In related news, 888 Holdings reported a 37% increase in revenue.
