In the first quarter of 2025, Flutter's operations in the United States generated nearly $1.7 billion (₽137.5 billion) in profit, marking an 18% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
The primary driver of this revenue growth was the performance of the FanDuel sportsbook brand. FanDuel's revenue rose by 15%, fueled by an 8% increase in betting volume, which reached $14.6 billion (₽1.18 trillion). These results allowed the operator to maintain a 43% market share in the U.S. online sports betting sector.
The iGaming segment in the U.S. also delivered impressive results, with revenue soaring by 32% year-on-year to $472 million (₽38.2 billion). The number of players visiting online casinos each month grew by 11%, reaching 4.3 million.
Adjusted EBITDA for the U.S. operations increased more than fivefold, hitting $161 million (₽13 billion). The group's net profit rebounded sharply to $335 million (₽27.1 billion), compared to a loss of $177 million (₽14.31 billion) a year earlier. This turnaround was attributed to operational efficiency and revenue growth, particularly in North America.
Flutter's international business remained stable, with revenue reaching $2 billion (₽161.7 billion) and adjusted EBITDA at $518 million (₽41.9 billion). Sports betting contributed $880 million (₽71.1 billion), while online casinos generated $1.1 billion (₽88.9 billion).
Group CEO Peter Jackson remarked, "FanDuel continues to win in the U.S. Our global scale and technological superiority are being enhanced by the acquisition of Snai in Italy."
Growth in international markets was bolstered by acquisitions such as MaxBet and notable successes in the UK. The company is currently exploring the possibility of participating in a tender for a national lottery license in Italy.
It is worth noting that Flutter Entertainment reported increases in both revenue and net profit for 2024.
