The Temporary, a new casino from Full House Resorts, is set to open its doors this evening. The launch will kick off with a VIP reception, after which the venue will be open to the general public.
Located about 30 minutes north of O'Hare International Airport, The Temporary is the only casino in Lake County, Illinois. The establishment features 50 table games and approximately 1,000 slot machines.
The casino's design incorporates lush greenery and boat oars, drawing inspiration from a lakeside retreat theme. Additionally, at night, the exterior of the building will be transformed into a large-scale art exhibit using special projectors.
Guests can enjoy food and drinks at the Canoe bar located in the heart of the casino, as well as at the Asia-Azteca and L’Américain restaurants. A new venue, North Shore Steaks & Seafood, is expected to open in April.
Daniel R. Lee, President and CEO of Full House Resorts, expressed gratitude to the Illinois Gaming Board and its staff for their assistance in the construction and preparation of The Temporary. He also thanked the team of approximately 500 colleagues who have been with the company since its inception, noting their hard work in getting ready for this exciting moment. "We are thrilled to welcome the residents of Chicagoland to The Temporary starting February 17," he said.
Las Vegas-based Full House operates six casinos across Illinois, Mississippi, Colorado, Indiana, and Nevada, each offering a unique atmosphere tailored to the specific regional market.
