Jan Hughes, the Commercial Director of Gaming Laboratories International LLC (GLI), emphasized the critical importance of testing artificial intelligence (AI) products within the gaming industry. He described this work as a key component of the company's growth strategy.
Hughes revealed that GLI is already testing AI-driven products in the gambling market and plans to continue this effort in the future. He noted that the company has been evaluating various AI algorithms over the past few years, asserting that this technology must be integrated into the gaming sector.
He also highlighted the necessity of thorough testing for AI tools, advocating for the development of a comprehensive set of independent measures that would be understandable to casino management. Hughes stressed the importance of a testing system to ensure accountability, transparency, safety, and security.
GLI is one of the largest international providers of independent testing and certification services in the gambling industry. According to Hughes, during the AI testing process, the company provides analysis based on various metrics and identifies potential risks. GLI examines key aspects to assess the validity and reliability of the core mathematical models that underpin AI systems.
The GLI leader underscored the crucial role of independent testing in building trust in AI products among consumers and operators. "There is no doubt that artificial intelligence can enhance customer service," he stated.
Hughes made these remarks today during a presentation at the MGS Entertainment Show, a two-day event taking place from November 14 to 15 at the Galaxy International Convention Center (GICC) in Macau.
Meanwhile, casino operator Genting Singapore reported a revenue of 690 million patacas for the third quarter of 2023.
