Zeal Network SE has released its preliminary financial results for 2024, reporting a remarkable 62% increase in revenue to €188.2 million (₽17.38 billion) and an 88% rise in EBITDA to €61.9 million (₽5.71 billion). These figures mark the company's best performance since its inception, driven by growth in its German lottery business and the successful launch of a new charitable product.
In 2024, the Zeal platform attracted 1.26 million customers, significantly up from 597,000 in 2023. The average number of active customers rose by 25%, reaching 1.44 million users.
The report also highlighted a 59% increase in lottery revenue, which reached €168.3 million (₽15.54 billion). Zeal Network's market share in the German gaming sector grew to 43.8%.
A standout initiative for 2024 was the Traumhausverlosung ("Dream House Lottery"), which enabled the operator to donate €1.8 million (₽166.21 million) to charity through the sale of 14 million tickets. The company's main partner for this project was DKMS, which received €1.2 million (₽110.81 million) for cancer research and donor base development.
Operating expenses rose by 58% to €98 million (₽9.04 billion), but the scaling of the business offset these costs. As a result, the company's EBITDA more than doubled, reaching €53.7 million (₽4.9 billion).
Looking ahead, Zeal Network's management has provided a forecast for 2025, expecting revenue to range between €195 million and €205 million (₽18 billion to ₽18.92 billion) and EBITDA to be between €55 million and €60 million (₽5.07 billion to ₽5.54 billion).
This week, the lottery operator confirmed that CEO Dr. Helmut Becker will not extend his contract with the brand in January 2026. After a decade of leading the company, he plans to pursue new entrepreneurial ventures.
