Gun Lake Casino is set to open a new gaming room, along with an Asian cuisine restaurant and a bar
Sal Semola, the casino's CEO, commented on the upcoming renovations: "We are excited to announce the interesting renovations coming soon to Gun Lake Casino. Our company continues to strive for improved guest experiences through innovation and best practices. This $10 million investment will lead to the addition of a restaurant, bar, and high-limit gaming area."
Gun Lake Casino opened its doors in 2011 in Wayland, located along U.S. Highway 131, halfway between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. The casino features 2,300 electronic slot machines, over 50 table games, a poker room, as well as several restaurants and bars. It is owned by the Match-E-Be-Nash-She-Wish Band of Pottawatomi Indians.
The internal improvements set to begin this spring include the new Lucky Dragon Noodle Bar, which will offer guests a variety of noodle dishes and other Asian cuisine. Additionally, the Crossroads Casino bar and lounge area will be constructed, along with a new gaming room.
Due to the renovations, there will be some temporary changes within the casino. Certain table games, slots, and the Grab & Go establishment will be relocated during the construction period.
This internal renovation complements another major project underway at the casino, with a $300 million expansion (approximately 27.37 billion rubles) planned for 2025. This expansion will include the construction of a 252-room hotel, several indoor pools, a full-service spa, and new dining options.
