Hugh Jackman is widely regarded as one of the nicest people in show business, and this past weekend, while filming "Deadpool 3," he proved that reputation true by handing out instant lottery tickets, also known as Scratch-Its or scratch cards.
The affable actor distributed the cards during breaks between takes on the set of the new Marvel film, which is being shot in southern England. Dressed in his full Wolverine costume, the 54-year-old Jackman approached his colleagues with a smile, sharing the gifts.
Jackman was seen with a stack of National Lottery scratch cards, with a potential prize of £250,000 (approximately $295,000). The Hollywood star has previously shared on social media that giving out tickets to his fellow cast and crew is an important part of his pre-shooting ritual. In 2015, he posted a photo of himself holding a scratch card, captioned: "One of my favorite traditions is giving lottery tickets to the actors and crew. Maybe this one will be lucky!"
Last week, Jackman was spotted filming his first scenes for the highly anticipated role in "Deadpool 3" alongside Ryan Reynolds. The Australian star is reprising his role as Wolverine in the upcoming sequel, having last portrayed the character in the 2017 film "Logan."
It appears that the filming of the third "Deadpool" installment has been moved to the UK to accommodate Ryan Reynolds' commitments to Wrexham FC, which was promoted to the English Football League Two in April.
In related news, we previously reported that a couple from New Zealand had stored a $33.5 million lottery ticket in a sock drawer.
