IGT and Greentube have signed a cross-licensing agreement for patents, which includes unique developments related to remote server technologies for providing access to online games.
With this deal, IGT will be able to offer the global gaming industry a patent license for the combined portfolios of RGS IGT and Greentube. The financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Renato Ascoli, CEO of IGT Global Gaming, commented on the agreement: "This partnership embodies the spirit of collaboration and innovation that IGT aims to foster in our industry. We are excited to provide the entire entertainment sector with the opportunity to license the combined RGS portfolios of IGT and Greentube, which feature appealing technologies for delivering games to customers wherever they are."
