At the Golden Nugget Casino in Atlantic City, 15 individuals won a total of $1.5 million (approximately 138.8 million rubles) on the same day. However, none of these lucky winners played slot machines, poker, or table games.
On March 15, the casino hosted the drawing for the New Jersey lottery's Million Dollar Replay grand prize. The jackpot of $1 million (about 92.54 million rubles) was awarded to Brian Heck from Gloucester County. The winner expressed his disbelief, stating he was at a loss for words as the crowd congratulated him. Heck plans to use his winnings to purchase a home.
In total, 15 cash prizes were awarded. Omar Gonzalez Leal and David Herman each took home $100,000 (9.25 million rubles). Three other lottery participants won $50,000 (4.63 million rubles) each. Additionally, four prizes of $25,000 (2.3 million rubles) and five prizes of $1,000 (92,535 rubles) were also distributed.
James Carey, the executive director of the New Jersey Lottery, commented on the event: "Once again, players who were quarterfinalists in the Million Dollar Replay competition came to Atlantic City to have fun and get a chance to become millionaires. For the 13th consecutive year, we are thrilled to see our players enjoying their wins and having the opportunity to win $1,000,000!"
The Million Dollar Replay is a special annual drawing of the New Jersey Lottery, featuring previously used but non-winning tickets. To participate, candidates must be members of the lottery's VIP club.
The jackpot and other major prizes for the Million Dollar Replay are drawn at the end of the year, with a total of 400 individuals making it to the main event. These participants are selected based on quarterly quarterfinals, and in addition to a spot in the finals, they each receive $250 (23,134 rubles).
