The Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) has released the financial results for the gaming industry for March 2024. Total revenue reached $1.29 billion, a decrease of 1.65% compared to the same month in 2023. However, the streak of gross revenue exceeding $1 billion continues, now extending to 37 consecutive months.
The strongest performance in March came from the table games sector, which generated $415.9 million. Slot machines accounted for $874.5 million, marking a 3.5% decline from the record $906.5 million set in March 2023.
Revenue growth on the Las Vegas Strip slowed by 1.2% to $715.8 million. While the table games sector saw a 4% increase to $314.4 million, slot machines experienced a 5% drop to $401.4 million.
Despite the slight decline in some areas, Nevada's gaming industry continues to thrive. Total gross revenue for the first three months of 2024 surpassed $3.9 billion, reflecting a 2.35% increase from the previous year.
During the quarter, revenue growth was recorded in both the table games and slot machine segments, with increases of 6% and 0.4%, respectively. Overall revenue on the Las Vegas Strip for the first quarter of this year rose by 2.5% to $2.2 billion.
It's worth noting that in January 2024, Nevada's gaming industry achieved a record revenue of $1.28 billion.
