In Ukraine, a registry has officially been launched for citizens who are restricted from accessing the gambling sector
The authors of the document assert that it aims to combat gambling addiction and promote responsible gaming practices in real life.
Under the new regulations, licensed gambling operators in Ukraine are now required to provide customers with the option to voluntarily restrict their access to casino services, slot machine halls, betting shops, and lotteries. The minimum duration of this restriction is six months, while the maximum is three years.
To initiate this process, the operator or KRAIL must accept a written request from the individual (the applicant) while simultaneously verifying their identity. Additionally, all gambling establishments will conduct identification checks at the entrance to prevent access to gambling activities for individuals under 21 years of age and for those who are prohibited from entering gambling venues under relevant legislation.
A person's name can be added to the "stop list" by a close family member or an official representative. A court ruling can also serve as a legal basis for restricting a specific individual's participation in the gambling sector.
The legislation outlines the main criteria for allowing Ukrainians to engage in gambling. The first mandatory condition is that individuals must be at least 21 years old. The second condition stipulates that potential casino and betting clients should not be facing serious financial difficulties. If their debts exceed 250,000 hryvnias, they risk being included in the exclusion registry. Alimony, subsidies, and large loans may also lead to a ban on visiting gambling establishments.
It is worth noting that Stakelogic has officially received a Ukrainian gambling license.
