Konami Gaming, a technology provider for the gaming industry, is set to unveil a new solution for the table games sector at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas next month. The focus will be on facial recognition technology that significantly streamlines the visitor authorization process and tracks player behavior in casinos.
The presentation of this enhanced product, developed in partnership with Xailient, follows the launch of the SYNK Vision technology in 2023. This system offers instant login capabilities for both registered and anonymous players, eliminating the need for loyalty cards or other authorization methods.
According to Konami, SYNK Vision addresses issues such as duplicate player records and gaps in visitor tracking data. The technology employs secure, patented facial recognition methods that allow for monitoring without identifying customers. The newly announced solution for table games will enable gaming establishments to enhance operational efficiency and improve the overall user experience.
Konami stated that SYNK Vision for table games utilizes intelligent cameras to detect players seated at tables. The technology integrates with visitor rating systems to optimize operations and ensure accurate data entry. Artificial intelligence assists casino staff by automating customer identification tasks and minimizing the potential for human error.
"The work of table game staff is becoming increasingly complex. SYNK Vision allows employees to return to their core responsibilities of customer service and entertainment more quickly," said Tom Soukup, Senior Vice President and Director of System Products at Konami Gaming, Inc.
According to the developer, the new technology for table games enables automatic identification of visitors as soon as they sit down at a table. This helps track customer flow and their associated bonuses while maintaining the privacy of the establishment's guests.
Notably, according to SMR, the global casino equipment market is projected to exceed $18 billion by 2030.
