Leading European lottery operator Allwyn International has released its preliminary unaudited financial results for the third quarter of 2024. The company reported total revenue of €2.14 billion (₽227.49 billion), marking a 7% increase compared to the same quarter in 2023. This success is attributed to organic growth in key markets, including Greece, Cyprus, and Austria.
Allwyn International's revenue from gaming operations reached €2.06 billion (₽218.98 billion), also up 7% from the same period last year. Net profit rose by 11%, reaching €981.8 million (₽104.37 billion). Adjusted EBITDA increased by 12%, totaling €410.8 million (₽43.67 billion).
CEO Robert Chvatal commented, "The company continues to execute its organic growth strategy, with a strong focus on game safety and meeting the needs of all stakeholders. This quarter has been favorable due to successful jackpot cycles, contrasting with the less fortunate period experienced by operators last year."
In the third quarter of 2024, Allwyn completed its acquisition of Instant Win Gaming (IWG), a leading provider of instant online games for lotteries. This move has strengthened the company's position in North America and enhanced its content development capabilities.
In February 2024, the operator took over management of the UK National Lottery following its acquisition of Camelot UK. This deal represents a significant step in the company's long-term strategy.
It is worth noting that the UK National Lottery recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.
