Singapore's Marina Bay Sands resort and casino has been named the most valuable gaming brand in a recently released Brand Finance ranking. Owned by American operator Las Vegas Sands, the iconic venue secured the 368th position, maintaining the same rank as in 2023.
Marina Bay Sands is one of only two integrated resort-casinos in Singapore and stands out as the sole representative of the gaming industry in the ranking.
Topping the Brand Finance list is Apple, with a brand value estimated at $516.58 billion (approximately 45.4 trillion rubles). "Apple has achieved a significant increase in brand value, even as iPhone sales have largely stabilized. Its strategy of exploring new markets, expanding its ecosystem, and encouraging upgrades to more expensive iPhones has proven highly effective. Apple continues to dominate the premium smartphone market with a 71% share," Brand Finance stated.
Other notable companies in the top rankings include Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Samsung. While Marina Bay Sands may not be in the top 100, its brand recognition is impressive, especially considering it is not located in Las Vegas. It is one of the most profitable casino resorts in the world, which enhances its visibility within the business community. The resort's hotel, frequently featured on social media, has played a significant role in boosting its popularity.
Marina Bay Sands is a key destination for visitors to Singapore. According to the World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC), the city ranked ninth globally in tourism spending last year.
In the Brand Finance ranking, Marina Bay Sands outvalued many well-known brands, including Domino's Pizza, Pfizer, Burger King, and Tide.
Notably, Indiana's casinos reported a total revenue of nearly $193 million in December 2023.
