MGM Grand has unveiled an innovative online platform called Live from Vegas, designed to bring the authentic atmosphere of Las Vegas directly into the homes of players around the globe. MGM Resorts announced that the launch of this platform will create new job opportunities, generate additional revenue, and enhance tourist interest in the city.
Vic Shrestha, Vice President of iGaming at MGM Resorts, stated, "The Live from Vegas platform allows residents of the UK, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada to play blackjack, roulette, baccarat, and Family Feud-themed quizzes. What's particularly exciting is that thousands of users can participate in a single session simultaneously."
The project offers a fully immersive experience reminiscent of land-based casinos. Charismatic hosts engage with players in real-time at the gaming tables, while hotel guests can be seen in the background. To ensure round-the-clock operation, MGM has prepared 90 professional dealers specifically for Live from Vegas, with training lasting between three to six weeks, covering both theory and practice.
For security purposes, staff members use stage pseudonyms that are periodically changed. "They are essentially playing roles—it's part of the show," added Shrestha.
Currently, due to legal restrictions, the project is not available to residents of the United States, but MGM is hopeful for the removal of these barriers in the future. The platform also incorporates elements of responsible gaming, with the team trained in the Game Sense program, which helps identify signs of addiction and utilize built-in engagement control tools.
Notably, Las Vegas recently hosted the first Dealer Championship at the Global Gaming Expo 2025.
