An exclusive seminar for land-based gaming sector employees was recently held at the newly opened Inspire Entertainment Resort, a South Korean casino resort. Organized by SiGMA Asia, the event took place from August 22 to 24 and brought together 50 VIP representatives from leading brands.
The two-day meeting aimed to strengthen connections within the land-based casino community while providing a platform for networking, entertainment, and strategic discussions. The event kicked off with a baccarat tournament featuring 25 guests. Later, on August 22, the winner was announced during an official dinner at Michael Jordan’s Steakhouse. Kevin Lay, Vice President of Gaming Strategy and Optimization at MGM Macau, took home the title.
On August 23, following breakfast, a focus group discussion was held with key opinion leaders. Participants delved into the future of the land-based industry, exploring trends, challenges, and opportunities within the sector.
After lunch, guests participated in a special event at the interactive media art exhibition Le Space. The day concluded with a VIP dinner at Brasserie 1783, followed by an iSlot tournament.
Ma Vina Claudette Oka, Deputy Vice President of the Licensing and Gaming Development Division at the Philippine regulator PAGCOR, commented on the event, stating, "I would like to thank SiGMA for bridging the gap and bringing together stakeholders from both the land-based and online businesses."
The SiGMA Asia 2024 exhibition was a success, and representatives from the land-based entertainment industry are optimistic about next year's event, which will take place in Manila, the capital of the Philippines, from June 1 to 4, 2025, at the SMX Convention Centre.
Additionally, the winners of the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2024 have been announced.
