SiGMA has announced the postponement of its European iGaming Summit, originally scheduled to take place in Malta from November 17-19, 2020. The new conference will now open its doors in February 2021, marking it as the first major event on the gaming calendar for the year.
The decision to postpone such a significant forum was made in light of the global lockdown measures implemented due to the spread of COVID-19, and it aligns with the recommendations from Malta's health authorities to ensure the safety of all participants at SiGMA Europe.
The health and well-being of guests, speakers, attendees, and staff remain the company's top priority. Consequently, the leadership has decided to reschedule this event along with upcoming conferences in Asia (May 2021) and America (September 2021).
SiGMA Group founder Eman Pulis commented on the summit's postponement: "SiGMA-2020 was set to take place this November, and all tickets for the show were sold out. We were very much looking forward to the event. However, COVID-19 had other plans, so we had to delay the conference by another three months. I look forward to welcoming you all with open arms."
Additionally, it is worth noting that the ASEAN Gaming Summit has also been postponed to the second quarter of 2021.
