Representatives of the foreign casino operator Paradise Co. in South Korea reported a significant increase in revenue for June 2025. According to data released on the Korea Stock Exchange, the total gaming revenue reached ₩82.05 billion (approximately $4.77 billion), marking a 41% increase compared to June of the previous year. There was also a slight improvement of 0.4% compared to May 2025, indicating a steady recovery in tourism activity.
The primary driver of this growth was table games, which generated ₩72.29 billion ($4.21 billion), a 41.6% increase from the same period in 2024. Revenue from slot machines also saw a substantial rise, up 32.7% year-on-year, reaching ₩4.76 billion ($277 million). Compared to May, the segment of video slots experienced a modest growth of 1.9%.
Paradise Co. operates three casinos across the country, including Walkerhill in Seoul, Paradise Jeju on Jeju Island, and a facility in Busan. A key asset in the operator's portfolio is Paradise City in Incheon, a joint venture with the Japanese corporation Sega Sammy Holdings. This resort is considered one of the largest integrated complexes in the region and has been a significant contributor to the company's revenue growth, particularly as tourism in South Korea gradually recovers.
For the first half of 2025, Paradise Co.'s total revenue reached ₩456.90 billion ($26.58 billion), reflecting an 8.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Table games accounted for ₩420.89 billion ($24.49 billion), which is a 9.2% rise from last year. Revenue from slot machines increased by 0.3%, totaling ₩26.01 billion ($1.51 billion).
It is worth noting that earlier in March, the South Korean casino operator Paradise Co. reported record profits.
