On Monday, the American Gaming Association (AGA) announced the new inductees to its Hall of Fame. This year's honorees include prominent figures from the industry:
They will be recognized at the upcoming Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas, an event exclusively for invited guests. AGA President and CEO Bill Miller stated, "This year’s inductees are industry leaders who have made significant contributions that positively impacted the business and the entire community. Bill, Ellen, Jim, and Robert have had a tremendous influence on the industry—from guiding casino operations and suppliers to advancing regulatory frameworks and tribal gaming. They are truly deserving of this honor."
The 2023 award recipients were selected by an independent committee that included Brett Abarbanell, Executive Director of the International Gaming Institute at UNLV; Jim Allen, Chairman of the Board at Hard Rock International and CEO of Seminole Gaming; Kirsten Clark, Executive Director of the International Association of Gaming Consultants; and John Connelly, CEO of Interblock.
The Gaming Hall of Fame has been in existence since 1989. Last year, inductees included Gavin Isaacs (Chairman of the Board at Games Global), Virginia McDowell (CEO of Entain and co-founder of Global Gaming Women), and Michael Rumbolz (Chairman of the Board at Everi).
The committee also featured Brian Hansberry, President of Gaming at Delaware North; Bill Lance, Secretary of the Chickasaw Nation; Mark Lipparrelli, Chairman of the International Center for Responsible Gaming; Cassie Stratford, Vice President of Legal Operations and Compliance at Boyd Gaming, and President of Global Gaming Women; and Howard Stutz, Senior Reporter for The Nevada Independent.
