Last night, the Asia Gaming Awards 2025 took place at the Shangri-La The Fort hotel in Manila, honoring leaders and innovators in the gaming industry. The event brought together key figures from the sector to celebrate their contributions to business development.
This year, a new category was introduced: "Outstanding Achievement in Regulation," highlighting the importance of compliance and oversight. The inaugural recipient of this award was Alejandro H. Tengco, Chairman and CEO of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).
The ceremony covered a wide range of categories, including slots, sports betting, electronic table games (ETG), and overall leadership in the industry. Special emphasis was placed on responsible gaming practices, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
Luis Pereira, the organizer of the awards and Managing Director of Asia Gaming Brief, noted that the industry continues to evolve dynamically despite challenges. He emphasized that all nominees, regardless of whether they won, contribute to creating a safe and innovative gaming environment.
Winners were announced in over 200 categories during the event.
In closing, Luis Pereira highlighted the many opportunities for growth and development that lie ahead. He thanked participants for their contributions and expressed hope for continued progress and prosperity in the industry.
It is worth noting that the winners of the Global Gaming Awards Asia-Pacific 2024 were also announced in Manila.
