Evolution Gaming has launched a live game show inspired by the iconic Monopoly board game, adding a fresh twist to its already extensive live catalog. The new title, Monopoly Big Baller, offers a unique take on the classic game, featuring distinct differences in design and storyline from previous offerings in the same genre.
Set against the backdrop of a river cruise rather than the familiar urban landscape, Big Baller introduces players to a virtual Mr. Monopoly, who has traded his top hat and tuxedo for a captain's suit. He will serve as a reliable guide throughout the game, alongside a live dealer operating from the company’s studio.
The gameplay of Big Baller revolves around balls drawn from a special machine. Similar to bingo, players fill their cards with numbers from the drawn balls, leading to potential winnings. The more lines players manage to complete, the larger the prizes they can win.
However, unlike traditional bingo, Big Baller incorporates recognizable Monopoly features, such as extra dice rolls, Chance cards, and "Go to Jail" spaces.
Todd Haushalter, Evolution's Chief Product Officer, commented, "Mr. Monopoly is back! We have a significant segment of customers who love bingo-style games." He noted that another title from the company, Mega Ball, has gained immense popularity. Yet, he emphasized that Monopoly Big Baller is not just another live game show; it stands out visually and thematically from its counterparts.
Evolution is no stranger to producing branded content. In addition to Monopoly Live, its subsidiary Red Tiger has released a title inspired by Narcos Mexico. Compared to standard offerings, these branded games attract a broader audience of casual players.
It’s worth mentioning that Novomatic's Novo Unity II platform was a winner at the GGA Asia 2022.
