Merkur has confirmed its plans for further expansion in the United Kingdom, announcing the opening of a new large casino at the Xscape entertainment complex in Milton Keynes. The grand opening is scheduled for Saturday, November 1, 2025.
The new facility will cover an area of 2,044 square meters, with the majority dedicated to gaming. Guests can look forward to a wide range of entertainment options, including 72 slot machines, 26 electronic roulette terminals, and 15 tables with live dealers.
In addition to gaming, the complex will feature a multifunctional space that includes a bar and an event area specifically designed for live performances and private celebrations.
The choice of Milton Keynes as the location is strategic. The city boasts a central position and is well-known to the company, which has had its national headquarters there for many years, simplifying logistics and oversight of the project.
The opening of the new casino is expected to have a positive impact on the local job market, with plans to create over 100 new positions in gaming, hospitality, and management. All staff will undergo training through corporate development programs aimed at fostering long-term careers within the company.
Merkur emphasizes its commitment to the regional economy, actively engaging local suppliers and contractors in the construction and finishing of the casino. This practice aligns with the group's policy of collaborating with regional partners wherever possible.
A large celebratory event is planned for the opening day, featuring a traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony, performances by artists, and a grand prize draw of £10,000 (approximately ₽1.09 million). This event marks another milestone in Merkur's growth strategy.
Additionally, it is worth noting that the company GiG has signed a partnership agreement with Merkur.
