The gaming company Light & Wonder is set to enter the Asian market with the launch of its iGaming platform in the Philippines
The announcement was made at the Philippine iGaming Symposium in Manila, where company representatives outlined their development strategy. With record-breaking figures in the eGames market, Light & Wonder aims to position itself as a leading player in the region's gaming sector.
Magdalena Podhorska-Okołów, Vice President of Commercial Strategy, stated, "Our strategy is built around leveraging familiar slot machines. Over 50 games have already been submitted for approval. This means that popular titles beloved in land-based venues will also be available online."
Light & Wonder is a global solutions developer offering technology for both land-based casinos and the iGaming sector. The company operates in 47 regulated markets and is actively pursuing a growth strategy through innovation and partnerships.
A key focus for Light & Wonder is its omnichannel approach. Many of its products, including jackpots, will function in both offline and online formats.
Another area of development will be aggregation. Light & Wonder's partners will gain access to over 5,000 games from more than 100 studios. The company has also announced the opening of an office in Clark, the recruitment of local teams, and the initiation of integration with operators. Furthermore, Light & Wonder asserts that it is ready for a full market entry and sees significant potential in the region.
It is worth noting that the Philippine authorities are updating regulations in the iGaming industry, placing a strong emphasis on digital technologies.
