Cambodian casino operator NagaCorp has reported a significant increase in gross gaming revenue for the first quarter of 2025. According to a voluntary report submitted to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, the company's revenue reached $171 million (14.74 billion rubles), marking a 17.7% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
Net gaming revenue amounted to $148 million (12.76 billion rubles), which is 20.6% higher than last year. These figures indicate that NagaCorp is continuing its recovery from the pandemic downturn, actively attracting new customers.
The report highlights that revenue from table games and electronic slots in the mass market segment reached $997 million (85.93 billion rubles), reflecting a 4.8% increase compared to the first quarter of the previous year.
The company also noted growth in the VIP segment, with total bets reaching $2.01 billion (173.3 billion rubles), a remarkable 72.6% increase. Revenue in this segment rose by 20.6%, totaling $42.86 million (3.7 billion rubles). These results suggest a resurgence of high-stakes players and a renewed influx of capital into the premium entertainment sector.
The segment for intermediary VIP betting (junkets) also showed positive trends, with turnover reaching $496 million (42.75 billion rubles), up 41.3% year-on-year. Gross revenue in this area was $19.28 million (1.66 billion rubles), an 11% increase.
Overall, this data underscores the robust recovery and growth of the gaming industry in Cambodia, further confirming NagaCorp's dominance in the local market.
Meanwhile, South Korean casino operator Paradise Co has reported record profits for March.
