The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) reported that total casino revenue in August 2025 reached $311.9 million (₽25.82 billion), marking a 6.1% increase compared to 2024. Year-to-date, the figure has climbed to $1.98 billion (₽163.23 billion), up 2.8%.
Borgata remains the market leader with $80.2 million (₽6.64 billion) in revenue, an 8.2% increase. Hard Rock reported earnings of $58.3 million (₽4.83 billion), reflecting a 5.3% growth, while Ocean Casino generated $51.2 million (₽4.24 billion), a significant 16.2% rise from 2024.
Slot machines generated the highest revenue for operators, totaling $234.3 million (₽19.41 billion), with a growth of 5.7%. Revenue from table games reached $77.6 million (₽6.43 billion), up 7.1% compared to August 2024.
The iGaming sector in the state brought in $248.4 million (₽20.56 billion), a remarkable 25.2% increase. Over the first eight months of the year, online casinos generated $1.88 billion (₽155.74 billion), a 23.5% rise compared to the same period in 2024. Golden Nugget led the iGaming industry with $71.2 million (₽5.89 billion), followed by Resorts Digital with $55.6 million (₽4.61 billion) and Borgata with $54.9 million (₽4.54 billion). Notable growth was also observed among brands like BetMGM, FanDuel Casino, and DraftKings Casino in August.
As of July 1, 2025, the tax rate on iGaming and online betting in New Jersey was increased to 19.75%, up from the previous rates of 15% and 13%. This change has bolstered state revenue from gross gaming income.
Sports betting revenue in August totaled $81.9 million (₽6.78 billion), a 30.6% increase. The majority came from the online sector, which accounted for $79.3 million (₽6.57 billion), while retail locations contributed $2.6 million (₽220 million). Year-to-date, the total stands at $708.7 million (₽58.66 billion), which is 1% lower than last year. FanDuel led the market with $31.6 million (₽2.62 billion), followed by DraftKings at $27.9 million (₽2.31 billion). BetMGM saw a sharp increase in sports betting revenue, rising 73.2% to $7.7 million (₽640 million).
For comparison, total gaming revenue in New Jersey for July 2025 was $606.2 million (₽50.21 billion), a 10.7% increase from the previous year. The iGaming sector grew by 26.6% to $247.3 million (₽20.49 billion), while sports betting generated $74.8 million (₽6.19 billion) and casinos brought in $284.1 million (₽23.53 billion).
It is worth noting that gaming revenues in New Jersey have surged significantly, largely due to the success of online casinos.
