The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has released its February report, revealing a positive trend in iGaming sector revenues. Compared to the same period in 2022, the state's total revenue reached $456.8 million (approximately 38.98 billion rubles), marking a 21.6% increase. Despite higher earnings in January, last month's results demonstrate the resilience of Pennsylvania's gaming industry.
Most casinos in the state reported revenue growth. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows took the lead with earnings of $26.5 million (2.26 billion rubles), a staggering 124.1% increase from the previous year. Other notable performers included Valley Forge Casino Resort, which generated $61.4 million (5.24 billion rubles), up 96.6%; Hollywood Casino in Morgantown with $6.6 million (563.2 million rubles), up 90.4%; and Hollywood Casino in Grantsville, which earned $72.6 million (6.19 billion rubles), a 21.9% increase. Valley Forge Casino Resort and Parx Casino reported revenues of $61.4 million (5.24 billion rubles) and $54.5 million (4.65 billion rubles), respectively.
In February, slot machines accounted for $202.8 million (17.3 billion rubles) in revenue, a 4.1% increase compared to the same month in 2022. Parx Casino led the way with $30.7 million (2.6 billion rubles), while Wind Creek Bethlehem and Rivers Casino Pittsburgh generated $23.3 million (1.98 billion rubles) and $22.8 million (1.94 billion rubles), respectively.
The iGaming sector in Pennsylvania generated a total profit of $131.6 million (11.2 billion rubles) in February 2023, reflecting a 28.5% increase from the previous year. Hollywood Casino in Grantsville was the top performer with $56.5 million (4.8 billion rubles), followed by Valley Forge Casino Resort with $27.5 million (2.34 billion rubles) and Rivers Casino Philadelphia with $26.3 million (2.24 billion rubles).
Additionally, the sports betting market has seen significant improvement. Taxable revenue for February 2023 reached $43.2 million (3.68 billion rubles), a stark contrast to negative figures reported in the same month last year.
It's worth noting that gaming revenues in New Jersey also rose by 10.4% in February.
