The Golden Nugget hotel and casino in Las Vegas will host the 16th annual Grand Poker Series from May 28 to July 1.
Over the course of 34 days, the Grand Event Center will feature 96 tournaments, with 63 of them dedicated to No-Limit Hold’em. Other events will include Omaha 8 or Better, Pot Limit Omaha, Triple Stud, and Big-O, as well as mixed game formats. A highlight of this year’s series will be the introduction of the Goldenaire Mystery Bounty event, which boasts a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million.
Joel Garcia, the poker room manager at Golden Nugget, expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming series, stating, “We are thrilled to host the 16th annual Grand Poker Series at The Golden Nugget. We’re back with affordable buy-ins and fantastic guarantees exceeding $3.5 million. This summer, some of the best poker dealers and staff in the country will call this place home. The Grand Poker Series is sure to be another tremendous success this year.”
The Golden Nugget is one of the most renowned poker rooms in Las Vegas, having been the filming location for the first season of the popular GSN show "High Stakes Poker," as well as several episodes of NBC's "Poker After Dark" and "Face the Ace."
Located in the heart of Las Vegas, the hotel and casino offers guests around 1,000 slot machines, dozens of table games—including 13 poker tables—and a sportsbook. The Golden Nugget is also famous for its "Hand of Faith" exhibit, which features the largest gold nugget in existence, the second largest ever found, and the biggest ever discovered using a metal detector.
Notably, Wynn and Encore have been recognized as the best casinos in Las Vegas by Travel + Leisure.
