The National Lottery has revealed the luckiest counties in Ireland
Topping the list of the luckiest counties is Dublin, Ireland's most populous region, which boasts 78 winners who collectively received more than €4 million in prizes.
Tipperary comes in second place, with a substantial prize pool of €2,270,000 shared among 21 winners. Kildare ranks third, with €1,475,000 won by 13 players. Louth and Cork round out the top five, with total prize funds of €1,455,000 and €1,220,000, respectively. Other counties in the top ten include:
The National Lottery is currently running a campaign titled "Gifts Responsibly," aimed at raising awareness about the risks associated with minors purchasing tickets or excessive lottery play during the busy Christmas season. A representative from the National Lottery stated that this serves as a timely reminder for parents and other adults that lottery tickets and scratch cards are not suitable gifts for children under 18.
The representative added, "We urge all our players and the wider public to support our 'Gifts Responsibly' campaign. Remember, when purchasing any National Lottery product as a gift for Christmas or any other time of year, it is always important to do so responsibly. We encourage our players to ensure that only those aged 18 and over participate in the lottery."
