U.S. regions where iGaming has been legalized continue to showcase significant potential. According to the latest report, seven states that permit online casino operations generated $868.6 million in April 2025, marking a 32.5% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
As reported by Casino Reports, each state with legalized iGaming experienced revenue growth of at least 25% year-over-year. The overall revenue increase in this sector exceeded $213 million, highlighting the rapid development of the industry.
The total amount wagered in April reached $10.2 billion, with Pennsylvania accounting for approximately $7.5 billion. Connecticut's revenue once again surpassed $1.6 billion.
The report also noted that the taxable income of online casino operators amounted to $787.9 million, resulting in a total of $169.3 million in tax revenue for the states. This figure represents an increase of $43.9 million compared to April 2024.
Pennsylvania emerged as the leader in the U.S. iGaming market, generating $282.8 million in revenue. Michigan followed with $248.1 million, while New Jersey reported $235.2 million. The competition between FanDuel and DraftKings in Connecticut contributed to a revenue of $31.6 million, a 38.3% increase from the previous year.
Meanwhile, Delaware and Rhode Island experienced explosive growth. BetRivers in Delaware reported $9.9 million in revenue, nearly doubling its performance from April 2024. Bally’s Casino in Rhode Island tripled its revenue to reach $9.9 million.
It’s worth noting that the U.S. gambling industry set a new record in 2024, with revenues reaching $67 billion.
