The online casino and sports betting brand BetConstruct VBet has received approval from the Ukrainian Gambling and Lottery Regulatory Commission for a local gaming license. The company described this milestone as a "great honor and privilege."
The operator stated that immediately following the legalization of the gambling industry in Ukraine by President Volodymyr Zelensky in August of last year, it initiated the process of forming and submitting its application to operate within this jurisdiction. These efforts have resulted in VBet becoming the first licensed online poker operator in the country.

VBet claims that its entry into the regulated Ukrainian market is an "important strategic step" in expanding its presence across various globally regulated markets. In Ukraine, VBet will operate under the .ua domain.

On July 14, 2020, the Ukrainian Parliament legalized gambling in the country, which was viewed by the highest leadership as a "historic event." This activity had been banned at the legislative level for nearly a decade (since 2009).
Additionally, the head of the Ukrainian Gambling Council has revealed details about the system designed to protect citizens from gambling addiction.
