The Ukrainian gambling market continues to evolve, as evidenced by the expanding roster of participants in the Ukrainian Gambling Council (UGC).
On July 21, it was announced that the licensed online casino PIN-UP, regulated by the Commission for Regulation of Gambling and Lotteries (KRAIL), has officially formalized its relationship with the UGC. This partnership was made possible due to the operator's affiliation with the international holding company PIN-UP!, which currently operates in ten different countries.
Taras Shurubor, the CEO of the Ukrainian office of PIN-UP, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership with the UGC: "We are very excited about this new phase in the development of our brand. Collaborating with the Ukrainian Gambling Council will allow us to actively participate in shaping the regulatory framework for Ukraine's gambling market. At the same time, our team remains committed to our goal of becoming a leader in the local online casino sector. I am confident that together we can facilitate communication between business and government."
Anton Kuchukhidze, head of the Ukrainian Gambling Council, commented on the situation: "Statistics show a steady growth in the online segment, which has not been hindered even by the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. I have long been aware of the ambitious plans of the professionals at PIN-UP. Together, we will achieve all our objectives."
Kuchukhidze added that the UGC aims to collaborate with the operator on several fronts. In particular, the partners hope to implement a Memorandum that will regulate responsible advertising within the Ukrainian gambling industry and enhance efforts to combat illegal casinos.
It is worth noting that Ukraine is currently working on developing a Memorandum regarding gambling advertising.
