The payment platform Citizen will provide cardless payment solutions for the online casino NetBet UK
Citizen's A2A payments, supported by open banking technologies, can instantly verify a player's bank account for the Know Your Customer (KYC) process using integrated facial biometrics. This means players will no longer need to use PINs, codes, or apps for deposits and withdrawals within limits of £10 to £10,000.
Ana Steph, Head of Payments at NetBet UK, stated, "We are committed to providing players with a wide range of payment options, allowing them to make secure transactions on our site. Both deposits and withdrawals can be made using Citizen, enabling us to cater to a broader audience of players with diverse financial needs."
James Neville, CEO of Citizen, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, "I am pleased to see more key players in the iGaming industry, such as NetBet, adopting new payment methods like open banking."
For context, NetBet UK is a platform that offers a vast selection of over 4,000 slots for play on both desktop and mobile devices, as well as traditional casino entertainment.
It is worth noting that Citizen has also partnered with online betting operator Novibet. Last year, the company entered the Irish gaming market, needing to expand its offerings for local users. With Citizen's cardless functionality, Irish customers of Novibet gained enhanced options for gaming transactions, particularly for funding their accounts and withdrawing funds.
James Neville commented on the deal, saying, "We are excited that Citizen's cardless payment technology will enhance their clients' experience by providing them with more ways to manage their funds instantly, easily, and confidently through their own secure banking environment."
Additionally, it's important to mention that Endorphina slot machines are now available in the Netherlands following a deal with Casino777.
