The Resorts World Las Vegas casino resort is implementing remote identity verification
The recently updated Resorts World digital wallet also supports biometric authentication, allowing users to make payments for gaming or purchases from a single wallet without the need to transfer funds between accounts for different types of transactions.
"Until now, any casino visitor in Nevada could not use their account for cashless gaming until their identity was verified on-site by resort staff. Resorts World Las Vegas is the first to offer guests the ability to register, verify, and fund their accounts from anywhere in the world in just minutes," explained representatives from Resorts World. "The Resorts World Las Vegas Mobile+ app is now the first multi-channel cashless wallet that utilizes biometric features on the customer's mobile device to enhance security and ease of use. Previously, to play cashless, guests had to transfer funds from their Play+ account to a betting balance. Then, if they wanted to spend those funds at the resort, they had to transfer them back. Now, users can play and spend their funds from a single wallet."
Resorts World Las Vegas began offering players the ability to purchase gaming chips and make contactless cashless bets on slot machines directly from their mobile digital wallet in June 2021.
