The operator of the casino in the Primorye gaming zone, NAO "Shambala," has released its annual report for 2020. According to the data provided, despite widespread restrictions, the "Shambala" casino welcomed 3,780 guests from 24 countries during the reporting period.
The operator's press service noted that 67% of the tourists were from Vladivostok, while another 9% came from other regions of Primorye. Only 3% of the casino's visitors arrived from the rest of Russia. On average, the establishment served around 550 clients daily.
Based on the statistics, the company was able to profile its typical guest: a young man aged between 25 and 35, who spends an average of 8,439 rubles on gaming and 1,539 rubles on services at the local restaurant and bar.
It was also highlighted that 58% of the casino's visitors were male. However, within the age group of 21 to 36, women from the Primorye region made up 62% of the clientele.
"In previous years, women were reluctant to visit casinos and did so much less frequently. But the current situation is completely different. Modern women come to such establishments not just to gamble. Their main goal is to enjoy quality time with friends. They prefer to relax in the restaurant, savoring fine dining. In this context, our primary aim is to create an atmosphere that emphasizes our openness and hospitality. We also pay significant attention to couples and families who come to us not for gaming. For them, we offer a variety of other entertainment options, such as concerts, promotions, raffles, and shows, along with excellent cuisine. We want to dispel the myth that casinos are exclusive clubs for the elite," stated Maxim Smolentsev, director of NAO "Shambala."
In 2020, 64% of "Shambala" casino visitors preferred playing slot machines, while roulette was the second most popular game, chosen by 32% of guests. Poker attracted 11% of the clientele.
It is worth noting that the cost of land rental in the "Yantarnaya" gaming zone has increased nearly thirtyfold.
