Flutter, Kindred, and DraftKings are among the giants of the global gambling industry collaborating on a major campaign in honor of International Women’s Day 2022. Alongside a number of employees from various sectors, company leaders are also involved in the project.
In addition to the aforementioned companies, participants include Betsson, Better Collective, Catena Media, GiG, LeoVegas, Lottoland, Microgaming, Pinnacle, Sky Betting & Gaming, Sportsbet, Yolo, and Yggdrasil. The collaboration will result in a series of videos showcasing the unique personal experiences of women currently working in the industry.
Three short films featuring the most impactful stories will be released ahead of International Women’s Day, which falls on Tuesday, March 8 this year. The campaign participants have even released a brief teaser outlining the essence of the initiative.
The project, conceived and executed by the social foundations Square in the Air and All-In Diversity, aims to highlight instances of gender bias within the industry. Activists will also offer comprehensive support to interested individuals and companies.
Kelly Kene, Director and Co-Founder of All-In Diversity, stated, “We are honored by the support our initiative has received from major organizations worldwide, from Europe and America to Africa and Australia. However, this also serves as a stark reminder of how much work remains to be done to eliminate gender bias. The good news is that many leading industry players are ready to personally advocate for this cause.”
She added, “We certainly hope to make a meaningful impact through this powerful campaign. The teams at All-In and Square in the Air aim to ensure that these films not only capture a moment in time but also propel the fight for justice and balance for everyone working in our industry.”
Stuart Darkin, Media Director at Square in the Air, remarked, “From the outset, we recognized that this was a very important project. With the support of the All-In Diversity team, we were able to work with some of the most prominent names in the industry. This has helped us highlight truly serious issues and underscore the daily struggles faced by some professionals in the field.”
He also noted, “There are many companies actively working to enhance workforce diversity. However, much remains to be done, and we are grateful that the largest providers in the industry stand shoulder to shoulder with us in this fight.”
The films resulting from the campaign will be released on Tuesday, March 1, 2022.
It’s worth noting that starting March 1, advertising for gambling will be banned in Georgia.
