The iconic Tulalip Resort Casino in Washington has unveiled preliminary plans for a significant renovation and expansion. The project, which will add 6,500 square feet to the existing 17,800-square-foot property, is set to coincide with the resort's 20th anniversary. The renovation will encompass several indoor and outdoor facilities, with an anticipated completion date at the end of 2025.
Marsie Freiberg, President and Chief Operating Officer of the Tulalip Gaming Organization, which operates the casino, commented on the plans. "The expansion and renovation of Tulalip Resort Casino will set a new standard of quality and excellence among casino resorts in the Pacific Northwest. This project demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing guests with all the amenities and services expected from a premier resort," she stated.
Currently, the casino resort features a spacious gaming floor with over 2,400 slot machines, more than 35 table games, and 12 poker tables, along with dedicated areas for keno and bingo. Visitors can stay in a 12-story hotel with 360 rooms. The resort also offers meeting and event spaces, a spa and fitness center, pools, restaurants, and various other amenities.
Located in Tulalip, Washington, the resort first opened its doors in 1992. However, the starting point for its 20th anniversary is marked by June 4, 2023, when the resort reopened in its current form following a major renovation.
In 2009, the property received its first AAA Four Diamond rating, signifying its high-end style and amenities complemented by exceptional service. This recognition has placed Tulalip among the top-rated destinations for travelers, including listings in the Traveler Top 100 Resorts and the 2023 Travellers’ Choice award from Tripadvisor, which ranks Tulalip among the top 10% of hotels worldwide.
