Two participants in the Powerball lottery in the United States have each won one million dollars
The winning tickets matched five main numbers: 4, 5, 15, 32, and 62. If the winners had activated the Power Play option for an additional $1 (87.7 rubles), their prize would have doubled.
In addition to the main winners, seven players won $50,000 (4.4 million rubles) by matching four main numbers plus the Powerball. Four others who opted for Power Play won $100,000 (8.8 million rubles). Additionally, 325 players matched four main numbers, winning between $100 and $200 (from 8,770 to 17,540 rubles).
Since no one won the jackpot this time, the prize for the next drawing on June 24 has increased to $84 million (7.37 billion rubles). If one lucky participant claims the prize, they can choose a lump-sum cash payout of $40.4 million (3.54 billion rubles).
To win the Powerball jackpot, players must correctly guess five white numbers and one special red number. The odds of winning are 1 in 292,201,338.
While the grand prize in the U.S. remains unclaimed, the Australian version of the game had a different outcome. In the drawing on June 20, 2024, a fortunate resident of New South Wales won a jackpot of 40 million Australian dollars (2.34 billion rubles). The winner correctly guessed all the numbers, including the special one: 1, 11, 17, 20, 23, 30, 32, and 16. The odds of this happening are 1 in 134,500,000.
Additionally, a resident of Leeds won a house worth £2.5 million in the Omaze lottery.
