Wynn Resorts is set to expand its gaming offerings at its new integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates. According to recent reports, the complex being built in Ras Al Khaimah will feature not one, but two casinos, with the possibility of adding a third in the future.
David Luazo, Vice President of Sales at Wynn Resorts, stated that the project will include a main building and an exclusive gaming area called Sky Gaming, located on the 22nd floor. "We have brought all the elements together to make entertainment the heart of this resort," Luazo noted.
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first legally regulated gaming establishment in the history of the Arab world. Preliminary estimates suggest that the main casino will cover 20,800 square meters, surpassing the size of the Wynn Las Vegas complex. However, this represents only 4% of the total area of the resort, which spans 520,000 square meters.
Earlier statements from the company mentioned only one casino, but the latest comments have confirmed plans for a second gaming hall. In addition to the main gaming area, the complex will feature a separate VIP lounge, characteristic of luxury integrated resorts.
The operating license for Wynn Al Marjan Island was granted in October 2023, marking a significant milestone for the project's long-term economic viability.
Wynn Al Marjan Island is likely to maintain the company's monopoly in the UAE for the coming years, as the General Directorate of Commercial Gaming Regulation does not plan to issue new licenses in the foreseeable future. Beyond the casinos, the resort will offer 1,500 premium rooms, around 20 restaurants and clubs, concert venues, and other entertainment facilities. This project is designed not only for gamers but also for a wide range of tourists seeking unforgettable experiences during their stay in the UAE.
As a reminder, Wynn Resorts will invite potential investors to visit the construction site of the casino resort in the UAE.
